Do you ever just get the urge to read a really poorly written book? I seem to be in a reading slump and only wanting to read books I hated…

Hate reads are totally legit.

STIEFVATER. You promised Sinner wasn't a crying book! For the record I never cry. It's messy and I dont do it. But Cole and Isabel are such terrible people and I'm so proud of how they ended up I cried at the end of Sinner. Kind of a lot. Curse you.

I bathe in the tears of my reader to preserve my youthful glow, so thanks. I was getting a little baggy under the eyes.

lynch-ulele asked

I have read all of your Wolves of Mercy Falls series (LOVE X10), but I have yet to start anything else by you (I know, please don't eat me.) I would really like to start your other stuff, in your opinion, which series should I start first?

maggie-stiefvater:

You should read them all, oh lynch-ulele. You should wrap yourself in a quilt made of the world-of-Stiefvater. You should find the books in your library and in your bookstore and strangely enough, on a table at Costco, and you should roll about in the words inside, hating and loving them, and then you should enter the vortex of the Internet and gallop through meta and fanfic and creepy fan art where the eyes point two different directions by accident and then you should make playlists.

Then you should remove the quilt made of the world-of-Stiefvater and go downstairs for dinner.

Maybe. Probably.

Steampunk gadgets, parasols, and zombies in Philadelphia, Paris and Egypt. Do I need to say anything more to convince you to read it?
